Spirit of Courage Heads South I love word association games. I’ll say a phrase and you say the first thing that pops into your head. For example, if I say “Spirit of Courage”. So many great things pop into your head and all worthy of mentioning. I bet the one thing that did not pop into your head is “A Mexican Riviera Cruise”. The next Omaha Nebraska Parrot Head Club’s annual charity cruise will benefit the Spirit of Courage. You may remember the Spirit of Courage was the beneficiary of the last charity cruise. If you went on the January 2010 cruise, you remember the fun, food, the games, the entertainment and some things I will not mention here. If you did not go on the January 2010 cruise, you remember the snow drifts taller than your car, the wind, the bitter cold, the chore of getting up and to work in that environment. The next cruise will be February 6, 2011 through February 13, 2011. The ship schedule is: February 6, 2011 Leave Long Beach California February 7, 2011 Relaxing day at sea February 8, 2011 Fun day at sea February 9, 2011 Arrive Puerto Vallarta Mexico February 10, 2011 Arrive Mazatlan Mexico February 11, 2011 Arrive Cabo San Lucas Mexico February 12, 2011 Day at sea February 13, 2011 Arrive Long Beach California As with years past; we will have a pre-cruise party the night before, there will be private parties and activities on the ship for our group and Captain Josh will be performing every day for us. Captain Josh has entertained us in the past and had agreed to come along again. I personally am looking forward to going on a Whale Watching excursion. Beacon Vacations of Council Bluffs is once again working to setup and organize this event. The cruise pricing is: $595 for an Inside Cabin / Double Occupancy $695 for an Ocean View Cabin / Double Occupancy $795 for a Balcony Cabin / Double Occupancy These prices include all taxes and fees. Beacon Vacations does not advertise a really low price and then hit you with extra fees. These prices also include a $100 ship board credit per cabin ! Your first $100 of excursions, drinks, shopping, pictures, whatever is already paid for. This is a gift from Beacon Vacations. A donation of $100 per cabin will be made to the Spirit of Courage. You get the tax receipt for the donation. That’s right, you get a tax deduction for going on a cruise ! You should re-read the last three paragraphs: low price for a seven day cruise, a $100 ship board credit, and a $100 tax deduction. This price does not get any better.
